Update: iPhone App for CamAPS FX (Ypsomed)

If you're an iPhone user living with type 1 diabetes, you've probably been waiting (not so patiently) for the mylife CamAPS FX app to land on iOS. Well, there’s big news — CamDiab has officially received certification for iOS in Europe!

This means our friends across the pond will soon be enjoying all the benefits of running CamAPS FX on their iPhones. The rollout will be phased across various European countries over the next six months, starting with Sweden before expanding to the UK, Germany, France, and beyond by August 2025.

But what about Australia?

Here’s the deal: Ypsomed Australia has already submitted the necessary documentation to the TGA, and the approval process is underway. However, if we go by past timelines for regulatory approvals, it’s likely to be another 12 to 18 months before we see an official iOS launch here. Frustrating? Absolutely. But the silver lining is that progress is happening, and it’s no longer a matter of "if" – just "when".

In the meantime, if you're using CamAPS FX with Android, everything continues as normal. And if you're an iPhone user still tethered to an Android device just to run the app (we see you!), hang in there a little longer. The wait will be worth it.

Dexcom G7 Integration

With the Dexcom G7 now listed on the NDSS, CamAPS users may be wondering when they can expect it to integrate with their pump. CamDiab have said that they're in the "development phase" of integration, which probably means that they're still writing code and doing testing - it's not ready to be submitted to any regulatory bodies any time soon, unfortunately...

We’ll keep you posted on updates as they come. In the meantime, let’s celebrate this step forward—even if we have to watch from the sidelines for now.
